Maria Vincenza Chiriacò is a scientific researcher of the Division on Impacts on Agriculture, Forests and Ecosystem Services at Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC). She works on research topics related to the sustainable management of agro-forestry systems in view of mitigation and adaptation to climate change. She is graduated in Forestry and Conservation of the Environment with a PhD in Science and Technology for Forestry and Environmental Management and a II level Master in Agroforestry carbon credits market.
She coordinates and works on several national and international projects related to the sustainability of agricultural and forestry policies and sustainable land-use management. She has also contributed to the definition of the National Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change for the forestry sector and is one of the authors of the Fifth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
