ADRICOSM – Intermediate is a project funded by the Italian Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea in the framework of the ADRICOSM Partnership and coordinated by the Centro EuroMediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC).

General aims
  • planning the new integrated coastal monitoring network compliant with the WFD and MSFD requirements

Expected results
  • Develop a Master Plan for monitoring of the coastal area of Montenegro considering the oceanographic, atmospheric, hydrological local water cycle and urban waste water management, in accordance with EU and other international requirements, giving the priority to the requirements of the EU;
  • Develop a proposal of the institutional framework for the implementation of marine and coastal area protection data policy in accordance with the Master Plan described above;
  • Develop and implement a database for EPA Montenegro in order to manage, analyze, and visualize data available from monitoring system developed within ADRICOSM project and other project datasets;
  • Prepare training material for EPA Montenegro and carry out a training course on monitoring techniques and usage of the database;
  • Carry out all the activities for which s/he is responsible with the utmost diligence, according to high quality standards and meeting in full the objectives assigned, keeping the Authority constantly informed as to progress of the activities assigned within the present Contract;
  • Organize specific activities defined in accordance with the Timetable of the Activities in accordance with the Contract and the Project description given in the Appendix A;
  • Comply with the pre-established priority goals in the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of Montenegro.
