Rodrigo Vicente Cruz is an Ocean Modelling Scientist at the Global Coastal Ocean (GOCO) division of the CMCC Foundation.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Uberlândia (Brazil), a Master’s in Aerodynamics from the École Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d’Aérotechnique (ISAE-ENSMA, France), and a Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics from the University of Poitiers (France). His doctoral research focused on high-fidelity simulations of turbulence and heat transfer.
At CMCC, Rodrigo specializes in coastal oceanography, with an emphasis on coastal processes, high-resolution modeling, and model downscaling.
