He obtained his degree in Meteorology from the University of Havana in 2010 and subsequently completed his PhD in Technical Sciences at the same institution in 2023, concentrating on climate change and regional climate modeling. During his doctoral studies, he was awarded a position in the Sandwich Training Educational Program (STEP) within the Earth System Physics (ESP) group at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP). Additionally, he has conducted research at several esteemed scientific institutions across various countries. From 2010 to 2023, he held a researcher position at the Center for Atmospheric Physics at the Cuban Institute of Meteorology. Furthermore, he was recognized as a Junior Associate at the ICTP from 2020 to 2024, where he collaborated with the Climate Group in the Physics of the Earth Section on initiatives related to regional climate modeling. Presently, he is engaged in postdoctoral research at the Fondazione Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC). He joined the REMHI Regional Models and Geo-Hydrological Impacts division in January 2024, where he actively contributes to development and modeling efforts. His primary focus is on enhancing and rigorously post-processing simulations using regional climate models, ensuring high-quality outputs that advance the field.
