Salama Amr

Amr Salama is a post-doctoral oceanography researcher at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC). He completed his Ph.D. at Bologna University, where his doctoral research focused on the historical changes in the Benguela upwelling system over the past four decades, using a coupled physical-biogeochemical modeling approach. With over ten years of experience in ocean modeling, Amr has utilized various models to study marine biogeochemical dynamics and their interactions with physical circulations.

Amr’s expertise lies in configuring and post-processing simulations of coupled models for both global and regional applications. His research provides significant insights into the interplay between biogeochemical processes and physical oceanography, advancing the understanding of marine ecosystems amid global climate change.
