Gloria’s research at CMCC focuses on climate change adaptation and Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for water-related hazards. She earned her PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (Italy), with a focus on freshwater ecology. Previously, Gloria worked at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), focusing on agricultural water management in the semi-arid region of Gujarat (India). She holds a Master’s degree in Water Engineering from the Erasmus Mundus GroundwatCH program, a joint degree program involving IHE Delft Institute for Water Education (the Netherlands), IST-Lisbon (Portugal), and TU Dresden (Germany). Additionally, she has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pisa (Italy).
