Martina is a Senior Scientific Project Manager at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC). With a robust background in physics and natural sciences, she leads multi-stakeholders projects on a global scale, focusing on climate change monitoring, adaptation and mitigation.
Previously, Martina served as the Innovation & Sustainability Manager at DFV Group, a multinational aluminum sector company. Over seven years, she spearheaded the company’s ecological transition, innovation and digitalization efforts. She initiated and oversaw the preparation of the DFV Group’s Sustainability Report, achieving significant results in sustainable sourcing, energy monitoring, waste management, water withdrawal intensity and emissions reduction.
Martina holds a Master’s degree in Physics of Matter with Biomedical and Environmental Applications, a PhD in Physics and Nanoscience and an MBA from Bologna Business School.
Currently, she is a Subject Expert in Sustainable Manufacturing at Politecnico di Bari in the Department of Mechanics, Mathematics, and Management. Her professional goal is to bridge the gap between academia and industry, fostering collaborations
and synergies that drive sustainable and equitable progress. Martina’s data-driven, scientific approach to leadership aims to lead organizations towards a resilient, low-carbon and conscious society.
