Leo Loprieno graduated at the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zürich), Switzerland, in Atmospheric & Climate Science. In his Master’s Thesis, he analyzed the climate change signal of precipitation and temperature in kilometer-scale model simulations over Madeira and the Canary Islands, collaborating with the division of Regional Models and geo-Hydrological Impacts (REMHI) of the CMCC.
Since November 2023, he has been working as a climate & weather model research assistant at the REMHI Division of the CMCC. The goals of his activities are: the contribution to the research and development of advanced climate and atmospheric models and related data post-processing; the support of the research activities of the division, participating in national and international projects and enhancing the understanding of climate phenomena and their impacts; model enhancement and documentation of scientific activities.
