Gea Grassi is a Master’s student at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice currently affiliated with RAAS (Risk Assessment and Adaptation Strategies) Division at CMCC within the Project BlueGreenGovernance (BGG). She’s pursuing a Master’s degree in Environmental Science with a focus on Global Change and Sustainability. With her thesis she’s exploring strategic foresight analysis, emphasizing climate change impacts on the land-sea interface. Her research aims to develop innovative governance schemes integrating scientific evidence and societal choices to address fragmented management in coastal areas.

Gea previously graduated in Biology Science from the University of Bologna, where she conducted a thesis in collaboration with Fondazione Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC – RAAS Division) assessing the seagrass status and ecosystem services in the Mediterranean region as part of the MaCoBios project. Throughout her previous experiences, Gea has contributed to research projects centered on climate change adaptation and environmental education.
