Pierluigi Cosi obtained his Bachelor Degree from the University of Salento, with a thesis focused on the hardware and software development of a smart home remotely controlled by a mobile application based on MQTT.
Afterwards, he continued his studies with a Master Degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Salento. At the end of the academic course, he graduated with a thesis in Artificial Intelligence Applications, developed in collaboration with Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC), titled “Development of a Graph Neural Network for ocean modeling applied to the Mediterranean basin”.
Since September 2024, Pierluigi has been a Junior Research Associate, within the Advanced Scientific Computing (ASC) division of CMCC, where he is involved in the development of a foundation model for ocean based on graphneural networks, as well as other research in the field of climate change through machine learning-based approaches.
