Seamless climate predictions bridge the gap between weather predictions and long-term climate projections, providing insights across timescales to support effective decision-making. The ASPECT project seeks to advance Europe’s capability to deliver actionable climate predictions by enhancing models, improving data assimilation, and fostering meaningful exchanges across scientific, policy, and practical application domains. By integrating state-of-the-art science and user-focused approaches, ASPECT aims to empower society with reliable, high-resolution and tailored forecasts.
To this end, the project is holding the third edition of its annual User Forum on 25 to 27 March 2025 at 14:00-15:30 CET, an event dedicated to weaving a tapestry of innovation, collaboration, and advancement around future climate information. The three-day event, co-organised by CMCC as one of the project partners, focuses on “Advancing climate adaptation with seamless and tailored climate predictions” and explores the latest seasonal-to-decadal prediction science and its real-world applications. It consists of three sessions, dedicated to users and providers of climate services, as well as wider stakeholders and citizens.
Registration is now open!
Who can participate?
This event is open to everyone interested in understanding climate predictions and how they can be used to improve decision-making, with no specialised knowledge required to participate: current or potential users of climate information, representatives from public agencies, business owners, or members of a non-governmental organisation.
The User Forum is a vital part of the project’s collective effort to build a resilient future. We aim to inform decisions based on accurate climate predictions and shared knowledge. Here, your insights, experiences, and expertise play a crucial role in shaping a more climate-resilient world.
