CMIP6
scenario
simulations

CMCC is going to participate in the sixth phase of Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP6) with the new model CMCC-CM2 in its different configurations.

Near-term
climate prediction
for CMIP6

Decadal prediction experiments consist of 10-member ensembles of 5-year hindcasts, starting every second year from 1960 to the present, using historical radiative forcing conditions (including green-house gases, aerosols and solar irradiance variability), followed by SSP2-4.5 scenario settings for the future.

CMIP5
scenario
simulations

The CMCC supported the set of simulations required by the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP5) with a series of experiments performed through its specific climate model, implemented in several configurations.

Seasonal
predictions

The CMCC has developed a seasonal forecasting system based on the global coupled model CMCC-CM.

CMIP3
scenario simulations

The set of climate scenario integrations following the protocol prescribed for the IPCC CMIP3 simulations realized by INGV and CMCC.
