The implementation of the agreement foreseen the development of two activities, distinct but functionally similar strategically linked:
1) development of the climate change adaptation plan;
2) planning and implementation of an awareness and training campaign on the issues of adaptation to climate change.

General aims
The update of the local climate change adaptation plan intends to equip the city of Sassari of a territorial planning and scientific research tool, with approaches and tools to adapt to the consequences of climate change, in particular reference to urban floods, heat waves and drought risk.

Update of the Climate Change Adaptation Plan of the Municipality of Sassari including the analysis of climate risks and impacts resulting from floods, heat waves and drought conditions, considering the local climate profile for 2011-2020.
Awareness-raising actions on climate risks and information on the possible adaptation.
Training of municipal administration staff, holding specific meetings aimed at local technicians and administrators.
Expected results
The main result of the action is represented by the update of the local climate change adaptation plan and the raising of civil society’s awareness about possible adaptation strategies.
