D4T is a Interreg Euro-Med project with the aim to increase the coordination level and institutional capacity of public authorities, multi-level bodies, programmes, strategies and initiatives on sustainable tourism and governance in the Euro-Med Area.

General aims
The overall objective of D4T project is to increase the coordination level and institutional capacity of public authorities, multi-level bodies, programmes, strategies and initiatives in the Euro-MED, aiming to transform tourism into greener, smarter and more resilient, embracing the fourfold approach of the mission: circularity of tourism services, environmental neutrality, sustainable ecosystem services, and cultural and natural preservation of resources.
CMCC role
CMCC is a Associated Partner of Regione Lazio. Within the project CMCC will play the role of advisor, sharing knowledge and tools for the evaluation of climate change-related risks, with a specific focus on major threats affecting the Mediterranean region, as well adaptation strategies and policies in place for climate resilience objectives.
Activities
In this setting, CMCC will contribute to capacity-building activities, transferring technical skills and scientific-based knowledge to public authorities (WP2) involved in the transition to a greener and more resilient Mediterranean. Moreover, it will provide high-level inputs to project meetings, including the Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories and the Tourism Leaders’ Summit (as envisaged under WP3).
Expected results
D4T project is expected to contribute to Mission#4 4 SOs, Green Deal, UfM Greener Med Agenda & Ministerial Declaration on Sustainable Blue Economy, Mediterranean Strategy for Sustainable Development.
