Pulino Daniele

Daniele Pulino is a researcher in Sociology of Environment and Territory at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sassari and a Social Scientist at CMCC – IAFES Division. He earned his PhD in Social Sciences – Governance and Complex Systems (2012) at the University of Sassari and the National Scientific Habilitation (ASN) to the functions of Associate Professor in the field of Sociology of Political and Legal Phenomena (November 2018). His groundbreaking research has significantly contributed to the understanding of the complex dynamics of the territorial environment.

His research experience lies in the sociology of the of environment and territory, public policy and crime. His research work, which makes use of a methodological approach that includes standard (surveys, official statistics, etc.) and non-standard techniques (interviews, focus groups, etc.), has delved into the social morphology of the territory of Sardinia, the forms of deinstitutionalisation in Italy, crime and social and intervention policies. He is also teaching, with extensive experience in Environmental Sociology, Political Sociology, Social Policy, and Sociology of Tourism courses.
