Sergio is a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry and Environmental Sciences from Tuscia University (Viterbo, IT) and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Geotechnologies from the CGT Centre for Geotechnologies of the Univerisity of Siena (IT). He has over fifteen years of experience in geographic information systems (GIS) that includes creation, analysis and processing of geographic data (especially climatic) and his background includes forest ecology, biogeography and climate change impacts on forest ecosystems, under the statistical approach of Species Distribution Models (SDMs). Since 2012, Sergio holds the position of a researcher at the Impact on Agriculture, Forests and Ecosystem Services (IAFES) division of the CMCC Foundation.
