Francesca Mele holds a Post Degree position at the “Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change” (CMCC) and she is a member of the “High End Computing” (HEC) research group of the “Advanced Scientific Computing division” (ASC).
In 2012, she received the Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Salento.
In 2014, she completed a two-year post-grad course on “Innovation manager for the development of sustainable entrepreneurial engineering” at the University of Salento.
In 2015, she was awarded with an annual Research fellow grant at the Department of Innovation Engineering of the University of Salento (Lecce) focusing on Cloud Computing within the DiCeT research project.
Since 2016, she has been working at CMCC on activities concerning the optimization and parallelization of climate models with a particular focus on the NEMO ocean model, as member of the System Team and the HPC group of the NEMO Consortium.
She currently participates in several H2020 projects.
