I graduated in Civil Engineering at the University of Parma and worked there and in the Public Administration at the mathematical modelling of river floods and water resources management. Further skills in the hydrodynamics of coastal lagoons and met-ocean data analysis were achieved at the Venice Water Authority in the framework of the MOSE project. The research career started in 2013 at the Institute of Marine Sciences of the National Council for the Research in Venice with a research fellowship working on the 3D mathematical modelling of the Po River Delta (river, lagoons, and coastal sea with the unstructured hydrodynamic SHYFEM model) and coastal and oceanographic surveys oriented to the Marine Rapid Environmental Assessing.

In June 2023 I go my PhD from the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, XXXV° cycle PhD Frontiers, “The Future of the Earth, Climate Change and Societal Challenges”, presenting a thesis on a regional coupled model for the ocean short-term forecasting in the Southern European Seas. During the PhD course I have been a visiting the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder (CO).

Currently at CMCC I am working on the continuous development and validation of the mentioned coupled model.
