Matteo Broccoli is a post-doc researcher in the ODA division at CMCC Bologna. His activity focuses on the design of an observation operator based on machine learning technique for the assimilation of skin/subskin Sea Surface Temperature satellite retrievals in the CMCC analysis systems.

He conducted his doctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam and was awarded the PhD degree in Theoretical Physics from Humboldt University of Berlin. He studied Physics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Bologna.
