After a PhD in animal biology dedicated to ecotoxicology and to functional morphology of marine invertebrates, Alice Barbaglio moved further in her research path in Italy, with short periods in Spain, Portugal, Scotland. Since 2014, she worked as proposal developer and research advisor in the pre-award team at the Università Statale di Milano, supporting researchers in navigating the funding landscape with more than 1000 proposal developed. In the last two years she worked as grant manager at the IEO grant office managing 30 grants at once, around 100 funded projects as a whole. She is now Elected Associate Ambassador for the RM Roadmap project funded by the European Commission, aimed at defining and valuing the professional figure of the Research Manager. At CMCC her assignments include scouting funding opportunities, tailored proposal engineering and project take off.
