Marie-Lou Bachelery is a Junior Scientist in the Earth System Modelling Research and Biogeochemistry Unit of the Climate Simulation and Prediction Division at CMCC. Her work focuses on the development of the Biogeochemical Flux Model to improve the ability to represent climate hazards and mitigation strategies, implementation and analysis of related large-scale simulations and datasets. She is involved in the CRICES and Ocean-ICU research projects.
Before joining CMCC, she was a post-doctoral researcher at the Geophysical Institute of the University of Bergen, Norway, working on climate variability and seasonal forecasting of the Benguela Upwelling System. Her background is in ocean science, modelling and physical- biogeochemical coupling.
