Abstract
The seminar will focus on the coastal marine sedimentary environment as a key element in pollution monitoring, as it acts as an integrative archive of dynamic processes influenced by human activities, climate change, and ecosystem interactions. Previous studies conducted in the coastal marine area of Civitavecchia will be analyzed as a case study, along with the future implications of integrating sedimentary environment research with broader marine monitoring activities. Additionally, potential applications in numerical simulation models will be explored.
