October 27 – 28, 2022
Ca’ Foscari University of Venice,
San Giobbe Campus, Department of Economics, Meeting Room 1 | INFO
The workshop “Frontiers in climate change adaptation” brings together empirical and modelling methodological approaches that can contribute to advancing our knowledge on climate adaptation. Three scientific sessions will cover the topics of climate adaptation, energy, health, energy poverty.
A co-creation will involve students interested in the design of a public engagement activity for a photographic exhibition that will open to the public on May 19th, 2023, at Cortile grande Ca’ Foscari and CFZ Zattere. The photo exhibition by Gaia Squarci – The Cooling Solution – funded by the ENERGYA project, will showcase stories about adaptation and lack of adaptation, covering stories about heat stress, thermal discomfort, energy poverty, vernacular adaptation, innovative technologies and adaptation solutions.
October 27th
- 12.30-13.30 | Welcome lunch
- 13.30-15.30 | Climate adaptation & inequalities
(Format: 20 min ppt, 5 min discussant, 5 min general discussion)
The four contributions in this session will discuss the heterogeneities of households’ adaptation to climate change along different dimensions and across geographical contexts.
