Martina Perez is a post-doctoral researcher at the IAFES – Impact on Agriculture, Forests and Ecosystem Services Division in Viterbo since April 2024.

She obtained a master’s degree in Ecobiology and a PhD in Environmental Biology at the Sapienza University of Rome. Her research activity focused on the effects of pollutants on the biodiversity of the herbaceous and shrub communities of Italian forests, and the impact of climate change on Mediterranean forest ecosystems.

During her academic career, Martina worked as a junior researcher on the LIFE project NL4DL-NewLife4Drylands, gaining experience in evaluating the effects of aridity on forest vegetation through integrated remote sensing and climate analysis techniques.
