ClimaSouth is an EU funded project and the regional workshop organized in Lecce (in cooperation with the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change – CMCC) from the 28th to the 30th of April, 2014.
The overall objective of the ClimaSouth programme is supporting the transition of ENP South countries towards low carbon development and climate resilience, in a context of sustainable and democratic development, by enhancing regional cooperation, information sharing and capacity development on climate change (CC) mitigation and adaptation between the EU and its Mediterranean neighbours and among ENP partners themselves.
The objective of the regional workshop is to assess climate change data availability and sharing in the Mediterranean region countries as well as “climate information” and “climate services” to improve the adaptive capacity for analysis and decision-making on vulnerability assessment and adaptation to climate change in the Mediterranean region.
