“Science and Management of Climate Change”: the new editions of the Master of Research and the PhD Programme
The academic excellence that trains tomorrow’s experts for the most urgent challenge of today is in Venice and sees the collaboration of the CMCC Foundation. All the scientific and socio-economic aspects of climate change offered in two high-level training programs.
Italian and international students willing to address the current challenge of climate change can apply for the forthcoming edition of the PhD Programme in Science and Management of Climate Change, a joint initiative of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change. The 2021/2022 call for applications is now online with deadline April 21st.
The PhD programme offers a 4-years fully funded scholarship, including one year of full-time coursework, with worldwide research opportunities and connections to a broad international network of top-level universities and research centres in the field, as well as placement in highly renowned institutions afterwards. The programme is conducted entirely in English.
The main objective of the programme is to create scholars who can navigate the complex and multi-faceted dimensions of the grand challenges posed by climate change. It prepares experts with a broad and thorough scientific background in economics, climate science, valuation techniques and with specific modelling skills. More information here.

The Master of Research in Science and Management of Climate Change is a 1-year programme aimed at creating experts capable of managing the complex and multi-faceted dimensions of the grand challenges posed by climate risk by integrating the scientific and socio-economic aspects in a unique programme. It prepares experts with a broad and thorough scientific background in economics, climate science, valuation techniques, and with specific modelling skills.
The multi-cultural dimension of the Programme is built on a consolidated network with leading international organisations and research centres worldwide. The Programme offers students a unique range of opportunities for both internships and placement: from local entities such as municipalities, to NGOs such as the Mar Fund, to international organizations such as the European Environmental Agency and the Climate Policy Initiative.
