The 2024 edition of the Master of Research and the PhD in Science and Management of Climate Change are unique training programs that explore the challenges posed by climate risks by integrating scientific and socio-economic aspects, as well as the opportunities that might arise.

CMCC’s rich education programs represent a unique opportunity to explore multidisciplinary issues at the interface between science and economics.

The 7th edition of the Master of Research in Science and Management of Climate Change (a.y. 2024/2025) and the new call for applications for the 4-year PhD programme will be presented during an online Open Day event on April 22, 2024, at 5.30 pm CET.

The program of the event includes a welcome message from Francesco Bosello, coordinator of the Master’s programme in Science and Management of Climate Change, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, and an overview of the PhD and Master’s programmes from Enrica De Cian, coordinator of the PhD’s programme in Science and Management of Climate Change, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

The PhD programme in Science and Management of Climate Change is a joint initiative between Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, the CMCC Foundation and Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e Geofisica Sperimentale (OGS). The PhD programme offers a 4-years fully funded scholarship, including one year of full-time coursework, with worldwide research opportunities and connections to a broad international network of top-level universities and research centers in the field, as well as placement in highly renowned institutions afterwards. The programme is conducted entirely in English.

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the CMCC Foundation – Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) organize the Master Programme in Climate Change Science and Management targeted at international students with experience or interest in dealing with scientific and socioeconomic aspects of the urgent global challenges posed by global warming.

The 2nd-level Master program builds on the 10-year unique experience of the PhD in Science and Management of Climate Change, pioneered by Ca’ Foscari and CMCC in collaboration with Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e Geofisica Sperimentale (OGS).

The Master of Research in Science and Management of Climate Change is a 1-year program aimed at creating experts capable of managing the complex and multi-faceted dimensions of the grand challenges posed by climate risk by integrating the scientific and socio-economic aspects in a unique program. It prepares experts with a broad and thorough scientific background in economics, climate science, valuation techniques, and with specific modeling skills.
