Negative Emission Technologies and Nature-Based Solutions for the marine sector: two events in Lecce
In the framework of the LONETA – Local opportunities for negative emission technologies and their application project, the B2B event “NETs and NBS in the marine sector” will be held on October 20-21st 2021. Participation will be ensured both in presence in Lecce and also online.
On October 20th evening the music show “A qualcuno piace caldo” will be carried out at the Officine Cantelmo in Lecce to highlight the effects of the global warming and raise awareness on the concrete actions/measures needed to deal with this problem. More information here
During the opening plenary conference held in mid-June, the identified priority sectors were forest certification, blue forests (related to the marine sector) and research enhancement. Therefore, on October 21st economic operators from Italy, Albania and Montenegro will meet in Lecce and online to set the ground for a fruitful cooperation mechanism for the implementation of these innovative technologies for a climate neutral society.
After a general overview on the importance of negative emission technologies in the industry sector, experts from universities, research institutions and private sectors will share best practices on NETs and nature-based solutions for climate neutrality in the marine sector.
