An increasing of the frequency and duration of droughts and more in general less rainfall, especially summer rainfall that are expected to decrease of 20%. This is the future climate scenario for Italy over the period 2021 – 2050 as described by Paola Mercogliano, researcher at the CMCC Foundation – REMHI Division. “It’s not the first year, and it’s going to be more frequent – she says -.
