International cooperation and local commitment: a success story in the Small Pacific Islands states

On May 10th 2007, the government of Italy and the governments of the Pacific Small Island states launched in New York a cooperation program to address the key global challenges of climate change, in less than 3 years about $11 Mln in projects and activities – 18 projects in all – have been committed.
At the COP 16 in Cancùn, the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea has organized a side event with the participation of the CMCC. The side event aims to present and to promote the ongoing programms as cooperation models.

The side event International cooperation and local commitment: a success story in the Small Pacific Islands states will take place in Cancùn on Thursday December 09th,13:20—14:40.
