Science and technology for research and innovation: CMCC strengthens its presence in the Emilia-Romagna area by joining the Network that brings together about one hundred innovation centres and industrial research laboratories.

The CMCC Foundation has recently been accredited as a research center with spin-offs of industrial interest within the Emilia-Romagna High Technology Network, coordinated by ART-ER and co-financed by the Emilia-Romagna Region’s European Funds. The network was established in 2002 to develop a regional system for industrial research and technology transfer. It was consolidated with the approval of the Regional Strategy for Intelligent Specialization (S3) and with the actions launched under the Programma Operativo Regionale FESR 2014-2020.

The Network consists of about 100 industrial research laboratories and innovation centers that have obtained regional accreditation, framed in 6 thematic platforms: energy and environment, construction, mechanics and materials, agribusiness, design and life sciences. The objectives are to strengthen the collaboration between the research world and the production system through technology transfer of the results obtained and to promote the transformation of production systems, districts and supply chains toward greater technological dynamism and greater commitment to research and development.

CMCC, which is active throughout the country and internationally, through its accreditation to the Network intends to strengthen and consolidate its dynamic presence in the Emilia-Romagna area, responding technically, scientifically and professionally to the needs of public and private entities that require external technological support for research and innovation.

Accreditation to the Network will allow CMCC to make its knowledge and expertise available to local public and private entities and synergy with regional production sensitivities and increase its presence at events and projects in the Emilia-Romagna area.
