The most recent scientific progresses on different aspects of the meteorology and the climatology of the Mediterranean region will be discussed in Genoa from 22 to 24 May, at the 9th Edition of the International Conference on Meteorology and Climatology of the Mediterranean. Abstract submission is open until 16th January 2023!
The 9th Edition of the International Conference on Meteorology and Climatology of the Mediterranean (MetMed) will take place in Genoa (Italy) on May 22-24, 2023.
It will be jointly organized by the University of Genoa, the Italian Association of Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology (AISAM), the Catalan Association of Meteorology (ACAM), with the support of Tethys, the Journal of Mediterranean Meteorology & Climatology, and the University of the Balearic Islands. Silvio Gualdi, director of the CMCC Division “Climate Simulations and Predictions”, is part of the Scientific Committee of the Conference.
The Conference aims to show, discuss and disseminate the recent scientific progresses and contributions of the international scientific community on different aspects of the meteorology and the climatology of the Mediterranean region and foster communication and collaborations between different research groups, professionals from weather/climate services and stakeholders.
Abstract submission is open until 16th January 2023!
Oral and poster contributions concerning different aspects of meteorology and climatology of the Mediterranean region are welcome in one of the following Sessions:
1. Climatology
2. Processes and mechanisms
3. Remote and in-situ measurements
4. Numerical modelling
5. Interdisciplinary studies
6. Statistical and AI-based methods.
