Xiaoteng Zhou received his PhD in “Surveying and Mapping Engineering” from Tongji University (Shanghai, China) in 2023. He was a visiting PhD student at the Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy) from 2023 to 2024. His research activities were mainly focused on the quantitative inversion of water quality in urban river networks using low-altitude multispectral remote sensing and radiometric calibration of UAV-borne multispectral cameras.

In November 2024, he joined the Ocean Predictions and Applications (OPA) Division of CMCC as a Post-Doc. He is involved in the AdriaClimPlus research project, founded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia. The principal research activities are related to satellite monitoring of the estuaries.
