Magnani Andrea

Via Igino Garbini 51, 01100 Viterbo

After the BSc (2011) and the MSc (2013) in Agricultural Sciences, Andrea got a PhD in Soil Chemistry (2017) at the University of Turin (Italy). During his PhD, he spent 8 months at the University of Colorado Boulder (USA). Since 2018 he is registered in the Professional Register of Agronomists of the Province of Turin (Italy).

Andrea currently serves as Researcher Agronomist at the Barilla Foundation, working mainly on LIFE projects (SU-EATABLE LIFE – LIFE16 GIC/IT/000038 and LIFE CLIMATE SMART CHEFS – LIFE20 GIC/IT/001708) aiming at reducing carbon and water footprints through the promotion of a sustainable and healthy diets across Europe.

Andrea is an Associate Agronomist at the Corintea company, focusing mainly on the digital transition sector of the agri-food chain and contributing to the Digital Food Ecosystem (DFE).

Since 2023 Andrea is also holding the role of Project Manager at CMCC on the Horizon Europe project SWITCH – Switching european food systems for a just, healthy and sustainable dietary transition through knowledge and innovation (project number: 101060483, call: HORIZON-CL6-2021-FARM2FORK-01), in close collaboration with the Project Coordinator and the other members of the Coordination Team.

Andrea is author and coauthor of 1 dataset open-access and 9 scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
