Chiara Galeotti is a PhD student at the University of Bologna in the “Future Earth, Climate Change and Societal Challenges” program. Her studies focus on Earth system physics and ocean dynamics. She works at CMCC in the Ocean modelling and Data Assimilation division and collaborates with the Ocean Predictions and Applications group on the development of unstructured mesh ocean models.

Before the PhD she studied for a bachelor’s degree in Physics at University of Modena and for a Master’s degree in Physics at University of Bologna. Her Master’s thesis was conducted at CMCC in the Climate Simulations and Predictions division, on the topic “Multi-annual predictability of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation”.
